CDA Charitable Programs

Colorado Dental Association dentists have given millions of dollars in donated dental services through programs like the CDA's annual Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM) and Give Kids a Smile Day. Both programs are dedicated to providing dental care to Coloradans who cannot afford necessary dental treatment.

The CDA is constantly looking for volunteers to participate in these annual programs. Also, donations are welcome and accepted through the CDA Charitable and Educational Fund. These donations are tax deductible and can be designated for a specific CDA program or for the CDA Charity Fund Grant program CDA Charity Fund Grants.

  • Give Kids a Smile — A day of free dental treatment and education for kids without dental insurance or the means to afford dental care. This event occurs on the first Friday of February each year in celebration of National Children's Dental Health Month.
  • COMOM — COMOM is a large-scale portable dental clinic that provides free dental treatment to children, adults and the elderly. Treatment is provided first-come, first-served to individuals who are unable to afford dental care. This clinic boasts over 125 chairs and is a life changing experience for both patients and volunteers. COMOM is an annual event in Colorado and typically occurs in the fall.
  • CDA Charity Fund Grants — The CDA accepts grant applications twice a year to provide funding to non-profit dental organizations and community oral health projects. The CDA does not provide grants to individuals.
