The CDA House of Delegates elects CDA officers and ADA Delegates/Alternate Delegates during its meeting.
CDA Officer: Candidates must be an active or a retired members in good standing with the CDA for at least five years. Other bylaws requirements may apply depending on role. In 2024, there will be three open positions:

CDA Treasurer (2-year term)

CDA Vice President (3-year term ascending through the president-elect and president roles. In even numbered years, the vice president comes from the metro Denver area.).
- CDA Speaker of the House
Delegate to the American Dental Association (two three-year terms available, 2025-2027): Candidates must be an active or a retired member in good standing with the CDA and must have served as an ADA alternate delegate for at least one year and a CDA delegate for at least three years.
Alternate Delegate to the American Dental Association (11 one-year terms available, 2025, six funded positions and five unfunded positions): Candidates must be an active or a retired member in good standing with the CDA and must have served as a CDA delegate for at least two years or have served as an ADA delegate or alternate delegate in the past. Nominations of new dentists (those less than 10 years in practice) are encouraged.
