Volunteer Details and Schedule of Events
Thank you for volunteering for the Colorado Mission of Mercy. Your generosity and support of this program will provide an invaluable service to hundreds of individuals in Larimer County and surrounding communities.
- Accommodations: If you have not made your accommodation reservations, please turn your attention to this ASAP. We have arranged hotel blocks at two local hotels. Click here for more information.
- Clinic Hours: COMOM will be opening doors to patients at 5:00am. If you are a triage dentist, please be at the COMOM clinic by 4:30am. All other clinic dentists, hygienists, assistants and general volunteers should be at the clinic by 5:00am. Coffee will be waiting for you!
(Special Note: Treating dentists and hygienists are welcome to set-up their treatment area on Thursday, July 17 between 2-5pm.)
- Treatment: Patients will be treated based on their most urgent needs - eliminating pain is our #1 priority. The dentists in triage will be responsible for assessing the patient's treatment needs and
prioritizing appropriately.
- Treatment Forms: As patients register at COMOM they will be asked to fill out a form. This form will
have basic patient information, health history and triage instructions, as well as a space to record treatment information.
- What to Expect: Portable dental chairs, lights and units will be available to treat patients. The chairs have reclining ability and the units will have access to water and suction. We expect to have a 100-chair operation at The Ranch in Larimer County.
- What to Wear: COMOM is a casual event and we encourage you to dress in comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate to treat patients (i.e. scrubs, comfortable clothing...). All volunteers will be given a COMOM t-shirt. You're welcome to wear this shirt as you see fit.
- Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost for all volunteers. Free volunteer appreciation dinners will be at 6:30pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Please RSVP and join us!
- Parking: Free volunteer parking will be available. Click here for a map!
